Aston Villa have moved to sign Australian midfielder Mile Jedinak for an undisclosed fee.
The former Palace captain has signed a three year deal at Villa Park which ends his five year stint in South London.
He made over 150 appearances and scored ten goals for the Eagles as well as accruing 64 international caps for Australia, scoring twelve goals. The thirty-two year old, born in Camperdown, New South Wales, began his career at Sydney United before moving on to Central Coast Mariners, Genclerberligi and then Antalyaspor (both in Turkey) before joining Palace.
Fans will have their own memories of the big Aussie but few will eclipse his superb free kick against Liverpool at Selhurst Park and the part he played in Palace returning to the Premier League.
Players will always come and go but there are some that really connect. Mile did just that. We wish skip all the very best for the future. Thanks for the memories.
